Five card draw is a poker game that is offered at relatively few poker rooms, but where it is offered it usually is very popular due to it's fast pace, simple structure and the pure joy of playing it.
In the poker room where I play the most it is second in popularity only to Texas Hold'em which of course is a tough beast to compete with given the media attention of that game. The game can be played in the limit of your choice, fixed limit or pot limit is the most common. At 24hpoker the game is played with blinds just like your normal Texas Hold'em game.
First there is a normal betting round, then the players take turns to discard up to five cards and being dealt equally many.
When all players have been dealt cards the final betting round takes place. The winner takes the pot unless two or more players have equally good cards, then they split the pot. It is really simple!
